Customer Switch

This page searches for customer profiles. Customer Switch enables customers to switch between the buying locations defined for a customer user ID. Customers can also select the factory material is shipped from. A user can also create new customer locations.

Note: The security level can prevent a user from displaying the Customer Switch menu option. The security level also determines whether the Create New Customer hyperlink displays.

Fields

Customer	A code or abbreviation representing a customer. Source: Customer Maintenance in System Tables.
Name	A name associated with a customer code. Source: Customer Maintenance in System Tables.
Location	A code representing an address used to transact business with a customer. Source: Customer Maintenance in System Tables.
City	The city name of a mailing address. See Free Form address in Country Table Maintenance in System Tables.
State	The abbreviation of a state in a mailing address. See Free Form Address in Country Table Maintenance in System Tables.
Zip	A zip code or postal code. See Free Form Address in Country Table Maintenance in System Tables.

Create New Customer

This page creates a new customer location.

Note: A new customer record cannot be used immediately. A customer ship-to location can be defined using Customer Switch, but bill-to and buy locations must be defined in Customer Workbench in Company Tables in glovia G2.
